PRIMAVERA
The society of brothers in Paraguay,
Held public confessions every day,
To purge their human sins away.
One twelve-year-old had none to tell.
(A girl too shy to speak)
Their sentence was she be expelled
To suffer for a week.
With this, they bade her shame,
When there really was no blame.
Then, they stole her childhood away
With their evil, religious game.
Kneeling in the stocks,
Yeah, the ones with Satan's locks of fear,
They made her kneel and scrub for sin,
Seen both far and near.
Till she confessed, in confusion ridden fear;
She'd not always held her violin practice dear.
She'd not always held her violin practice dear.
